»Vanishing space« is what we call the architectonic set-up for the computer installation of fuchs-eckermann. How can the borders between physical space and virtual space ever disappear? Our main design concept was lead by the idea, that the observer’s view should seemlessly move form the edges of the interior to the electronic image.
The interior is covered with plain white and serves therefore as a somewhat neutral canvas for reflections from the data projection. The user/ player is kept in an ambigous state of assumptions about the nature of the space he is in. The user is to construct his individual space when playing.
